MAJALENGKA – The level of road damage in Majalengka Regency varies, with a significant portion in severely damaged condition. According to information from the Public Works and Spatial Planning Office (Dinas PUTR) of Majalengka Regency, roads categorized as severely damaged stretch 32.64 kilometers, while moderately damaged roads reach 346.9 kilometers.
The percentage of damaged roads in Majalengka Regency is approximately 37.92% out of a total road length of 915.02 kilometers. The condition of the damaged roads is likely to worsen, given the high intensity of rainfall in the area.
Residents in several districts, including Talaga, Cikijing, Cingambul, and other southern areas of Majalengka Regency, are still experiencing severely damaged roads. “We urge the regent to immediately repair these damaged roads,” said a resident on Wednesday, June 4, 2025.
Majalengka Regent, Eman Suherman, acknowledged that many roads are still damaged, especially in rural areas and those bordering neighboring regencies. “Repairs are being done in stages, but the rain is still frequent. We ask the people of Majalengka to be patient for now,” he said.
The regent often conducts direct inspections of damaged road locations. Recently, he checked the condition of the Jahim road section bordering Ciamis Regency. “At that location, I directly contacted the sub-district head and the Public Works Office to inspect and map out a plan for road repairs. These roads must be repaired this year,” he emphasized.
