Cipelang River Tourist Boat in Jatitujuh Adds to Majalengka’s Exotic Charm

MAJALENGKA – macakata.com – The presence of a water tourist boat on the Cipelang River in Jatitujuh has added a new tourist attraction in Majalengka Regency.

The banks of the Cipelang Main Channel at the Rentang Dam in Jatitujuh have further enhanced the exotic appeal of the area with this new scenic attraction. The Jatitujuh Water Tourist Boat was recently inaugurated.

“The existence of this tourist attraction is expected to draw visitors to Majalengka Regency and boost the local economy,” said Acting Regent of Majalengka, Dedi, on Thursday, January 30, 2025.

The inauguration ceremony also included the handover of CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility) assistance, a boat donation, tree planting, the release of tilapia fish seeds, and the planting of sunflowers.

Meanwhile, Sarpoed, a representative of the Hujan Keruh community, one of the managers of the Jatitujuh boat tourism, mentioned that currently, there is only one large boat ready to operate. Plans are in place to add more boats once the entrance ticket prices are finalized.

“Ticket prices and the use of boat facilities are still under discussion. What is certain is that more boats will be added,” he said.

In addition, equally important, the management and local community are committed to keeping the environment along the Cipelang River, or the Jatitujuh Boat Tourism area, clean.
