MAJALENGKA – macakata.com – Standing on a land area of over 1,000 square meters, Al-Firdaus Mosque has been officially inaugurated. Although construction of the mosque began in late 2023, it was completed three weeks ago and has already been used by the community for daily prayers and Friday congregations.
On Sunday, February 16, 2025, Al-Firdaus Mosque was formally inaugurated. The event was attended by Acting Regent of Majalengka, Dedi Supandi; members of the Majalengka Regency Legislative Council (DPRD); prominent religious figures; and influential community leaders.
Notably, thousands of congregants from across Majalengka Regency attended the inauguration. Attendees who received coupons went home with souvenirs, as the mosque committee prepared at least 3,000 gift packages.
- Rona Firmansyah, a community leader in Kadipaten and member of the Majalengka DPRD, expressed gratitude to all parties and donors who contributed to the realization of Al-Firdaus Mosque.
“We thank everyone involved. This mosque can now serve as a place of worship and a center for religious education,” he stated.
Rona added that the construction of Al-Firdaus Mosque fulfilled the testament of his late father, H. Ade Firdaus, and expressed gratitude for being able to honor his father’s legacy.
Located in the heart of Kadipaten, adjacent to the main road and facing Kadipaten Market, the mosque’s strategic position makes it ideal not only for worship but also for other Islamic activities.
“Future plans include organizing Quran recitation classes and multilingual programs, including Arabic and English lessons,” he explained.
The three-story Al-Firdaus Mosque boasts ample facilities, including basement parking, hotel-standard restrooms and ablution areas, and dedicated rooms for travelers.
“Everyone is welcome to worship here. We designed this mosque to ensure comfort for all congregants,” Rona emphasized. (Acil )
