Jakarta – The Central Leadership of Persatuan Islam (PERSIS) expresses its appreciation for the smoothness and security of the 2025 Eid al-Fitr homecoming and return traffic.
“On behalf of the PP PERSIS organization and personally, we would like to thank the Chief of Police, General Listyo Sigit Prabowo, Minister of Transportation Dudy Purwagandhi, Commander of the Indonesian National Armed Forces General Agus Subiyanto, and all related parties for their hard work in ensuring security during the month of Ramadan and the Eid al-Fitr homecoming and return traffic,” said the Head of the Maaliyah (Economy) Department, Ustaz Aay Muhammad Furkon, when asked for a statement on Thursday (10/4/2025).
He added that they appreciate and give awards for the hard work of all parties in handling the homecoming and return traffic well, making it relatively smooth and successful until the end. Ustaz Aay claimed to have experienced the smoothness of the homecoming journey this year. He went home with his family after Eid prayer from Bambu Apus, East Jakarta to Garut.
“With a relatively reasonable travel distance,” he said. According to him, the supporting factor for the smooth journey is the implementation of traffic engineering by the police. “I personally felt the smoothness of the homecoming and return traffic. This year is much smoother compared to last year,” said Ustaz Aay.
Although, he added, there were still normal traffic jams at some points where traffic flows meet. “At some rest areas and places where people gather, public facilities and worship facilities are also available. This makes the travelers feel comfortable,” he said.
In addition, he also appreciates the performance of the Governor of West Java, Dedi Mulyadi, or KDM, in giving a break to angkot drivers and delman drivers during the Eid al-Fitr homecoming and return traffic by providing compensation money.
“I really felt the smoothness at some market points in West Java. Because usually, the markets are filled with angkot and delman. This is what makes the smoothness at some market points,” added Ustaz Aay.
The success in handling the homecoming and return traffic, according to Ustaz Aay, is very beneficial for the community by making it easier for them to visit their families. “Because of the success in handling the 2025 Eid al-Fitr homecoming and return traffic, we hope that this good performance can be maintained and even improved in the following years,” he concluded.**
