Aromatherapy Balm and Soap Products, Used in Ar-Rahmat Islamic Boarding School Environment
MAJALENGKA – In a special pharmacy room, female students of Ar-Rahmat Weragati Vocational School were busy and serious. They wore special uniforms like those worn in hospitals and masks. Hundreds of chemical tools for experimenting with medicines were stored in their places. On the front tables, green bottles were visible, containing one of the many products resulting from experiments and the work of the students.
In addition to dish soap, other products that have been produced include balm, aromatherapy roll-on, rosella tea, and aromatherapy candles. The teacher and pharmacist in the pharmacy department, Neneng Nuripah, said that the pharmacy students combined health and technology sciences, studying the world of pharmacy. They learned about treatment techniques, drug manufacturing, drug development from chemical compounds, drug distribution, therapy, and monitoring of drug use.
“We have produced pharmacy products here, which are currently used only in our own environment,” she said on Thursday, May 8, 2025.
The Head of Ar-Rahmat Weragati Vocational School, Yayat Ruhayadi, explained that pharmacy students often conduct industrial visits to reputable pharmaceutical companies, allowing them to learn directly about the pharmaceutical world comprehensively. “So, graduates of the pharmacy department can work smoothly in pharmacies, hospitals, and the pharmaceutical industry,” he said
